I love everything about cranberry such as cranberry juice, cranberry sauce, craisins ( so bomb), but never thought about a cranberry mask. I loved it! Now we all know there are so many different benefits of cranberries such as lowering risk of urinary tract infection, decreasing blood pressure, improves immune system and even linked to preventing certain types of cancer. So why am I applying this to my face again? Well because cranberries are full of antioxidants, it is the prefect skin treatment for unwanted dark pigmentation especially from sun damage, redness do to skin irritation and wrinkles. It was the perfect treatment for my face because I was noticing increase redness on my face particularly under my eyes and endured sun damage on the bridge of my nose! Never thought I would have sun damage, which will force me to never forget to apply a good sunscreen on my face (accepting recommendations).
I went to my esthetician Elizabeth at Priviledge Beverly Hills to get this cranberry mask applied and after my skin felt hydrated, smoothed, and noticed less dark pigmentation. It's not quite back to where it was but definitely making progress. Obviously, it was just what my face needed to get back on track.
If you want to try this at home here is a recipe that I found!
¼ teaspoon Green Clay
1 teaspoon Plain Yogurt
1 tablespoon Honey
¼ cup of cranberries ( beat til pasty texture)
¼ cup cranberry juice
water (create your desired consistency)
After mixing ingredients into a bowl, apply to your face for 10-15 minutes then remove with warm water. Tell me what you think?
